Three reasons to leave Amazon SES.
Workflows + AI
Marketing automation features SES will never have natively.
Deliverability tools
Reputation monitoring, bounce filtering, content scoring.
Keep SES economics
Still pay AWS directly. Mailazy is a flat platform fee on top.
Migration in 3 steps
Switch in under a day.
- 1 Connect AWS account
OAuth into your AWS account. Mailazy reads your SES identity, sending limits, and reputation metrics.
- 2 Verify sending domains
We auto-detect verified SES domains. Optionally add Mailazy SPF for tracking.
- 3 Build your first workflow
Use the visual builder. Emails fire through your SES account — sends bill to AWS as usual.
Common migration questions
Do I still pay AWS for sends?
Yes. You connect your AWS account to Mailazy. Emails ship through your SES; AWS bills you $0.10 per 1,000 emails. Mailazy charges a flat platform fee for the UI, workflows, and deliverability tooling.
Will my SES sending limits apply?
Yes. Mailazy respects your SES tier (sandbox or production) and your daily/per-second send quotas. Request limit increases through AWS as you would today.
What about SES suppression list?
Mailazy syncs with your SES account-level suppression list bi-directionally. We also maintain our own suppression layer for tighter control.
Can I migrate templates from SES?
Yes. We can import all SES templates via the API. SES's mustache syntax converts to our placeholders automatically.
Does this work with SES in EU regions?
Yes. Mailazy supports SES in us-east-1, us-west-2, eu-west-1, eu-central-1, and ap-southeast-1.
